So You Think You're Crafty All-Star Round Week One: Organization

It's that time again, where I ask all of you to go to So You Think You're Crafty and vote for my project. It's the "All-Star Round," so I'm sure the competition is going to be fierce.

Our challenge for the first week is "Organization." I decided to convert a balsa wood box into a make-up case to store all of those lip glosses and cheap eye shadows that little girls get as gifts and stocking-stuffers. I wish I would have thought of this when my girls were little. I HATED finding all of those little pieces of "make-up and lip gloss" all over the place. The lids always fell off and the make-up always got gooey and gross.

It was pretty easy to convert the box into this fun creation. All I did was add paint, paper, and embellishments. You can't ask for anything easier than that, right? And don't let the balsa wood inserts scare you. They were easy, too. I cut them using my paper cutter and then snapped at the cut line. (For the two long pieces, the grooves were already in the box.)
